Sight Height 11.5 in., Width 14.75 in. Framed Height 20.25 in., Width 24.25 in. Signed lower right, numbered 8/100 lower left. This aquatint etching with hand applied color depicts three white doves or gulls perched amid a lush tropical arrangement of bird of paradise blossoms, coral fan forms and teal koi fish, set against a large gilded moon disc and a deep blue and gold stippled ground. Additional birds in flight are visible in the upper register, rendered in the same warm coral and pink tones as the surrounding flora, creating a unified decorative palette of teal, coral, dusty pink and white throughout the composition. The work draws strongly on Japanese woodblock printmaking traditions in its flat decorative patterning, layered natural motifs and confident use of the etched line to define form and texture. The impression is numbered 4/100 in pencil at the lower left and carries the artists pencil signature at the lower right, presented in a silver metal frame with white mat. The sheet is in excellent condition with vivid well-preserved colors and no visible foxing or damage to the impression.
