Sight Height 12 in., Width 15 in. Framed Height 20.25 in., Width 24.25 in. Signed lower right, numbered 4/100 lower left. This richly colored etching depicts three white ibis or spoonbill birds standing amid a lush decorative arrangement of green koi fish, spiral nautilus shells and trailing pink orchids and wisteria blossoms, rendered with fine linear etched detail and vibrant hand applied color. The composition is anchored by a large gilded moon disc rising behind the birds, set against a dark stippled ground suggestive of a night sky, creating a dramatic contrast with the luminous white plumage of the foreground figures. The work draws stylistic influences from Japanese woodblock printmaking traditions, particularly in its decorative use of natural motifs, flat color areas and strong compositional layering of flora and fauna. The impression is numbered 9/100 in pencil at the lower left and carries the artists pencil signature at the lower right, presented in a silver metal frame with white mat. The sheet is in excellent condition with vivid, well-preserved colors and no visible foxing or damage to the impression.
