A signed and numbered print (116/300) by Victor Vasarely, the renowned Hungarian-French artist born in 1908 and who passed away in Paris in 1997. Vasarely is celebrated as the leading figure of the Op Art movement, which focused on creating optical illusions. Influenced by abstract art, Russian constructivists, and the Budapest Bauhaus from 1928 to 1930, Vasarely sought to establish a scientific and theoretical foundation for his art. After moving to Paris in 1930, he primarily worked as a graphic designer, pioneering techniques that played with viewers' perceptions. This piece is a fine example of his groundbreaking work in optical art.
