Sight Height 29.25 in., Width 19.5 in. Framed Height 38.25 in., Width 28.25 in. This limited edition lithograph was published for Art 77 Washington International Art Fair by Cecille Gallery, Lawrence, NY. This main image of this lithograph is Chagalls colorful artwork titled Le Coq sur Paris and includes a red rooster, a bride with a bouquet of flowers, and also his iconographic couple with the Eiffel Tower and view of the Seine, themes seen in many of the artists works throughout his lengthy and prolific career. It is understood that the bride figures in his work represent his first wife, Bella, who died in her late 40s after a sudden illness. Their love was celebrated in many of his artworks and it was said that upon their meeting in 1909, Marc and Bella experienced love at first sight. Widely collected in private, corporate and public collections, examples of Chagalls work can be found in just about every museum around the world.
