Sight Height 9.5 in., Width 12.5 in.. Portfolio Height 21.25 in., Width 17.25 in. Matted Height 15.75 in., Width 18.5 in. Philosopher and photographer John R. WIckersham traveled almost 40,000 miles by automobile from 1986 to 1990 to chronicle this photographic study of the Missouri River Basin. This numbered fabric covered portfolio 3 of 50 contains ten original matted photographic prints created for The Missouri River Photography Project. The folio documents the landscape, atmosphere, and cultural presence of the Missouri River through carefully composed black and white imagery. Each photograph reflects Wickershams disciplined eye for form, light, and environmental narrative, characteristic of late twentieth century American documentary photography. Published in a limited edition, the portfolio demonstrates both artistic and institutional significance. This complete set represents a scarce and desirable example of regional photographic documentation presented in a refined archival format. Folio contains a rock sample and also a vial of river water.

Minor Staining, Wear on Cover. Photographic Prints Excellent Condition.
