The late St. Louis artist Herb Gralnick earned his BFA from Washington University and MFA from University of Cincinnati. An art educator, he taught at Webster University and then as Chair at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan and upon retirement in 1974, returned to St. Louis. Herb had a friend and patron in the late Morton D. May and the artist helped maintain Mays private art collection. Gralnick lead a lengthy career as a painter and printmaker, but also worked in pen and ink drawings, silkscreens, ceramic, sculpture, and mixed media collage. His work is included in more than 200 private collections around the world. His work is also included in the collection of the Saint Louis Art Museum.
