This original drawing by the late internationally acclaimed St. Louis artist Sandy Schultz features a stylized tulip in silvers, blues, and greens on the white background of the paper. Widely known as a sculptor, Schultz was considered a founder of the concept of Architectural/Environmental Sculpture. A prolific maker, it is believed that he created and installed 298 sculptures around the world during his lengthy career. Sandy had the opportunity to collaborate on projects with many of the worlds leading architects and landscape architects, including Eero Saarinen, Eric Mendelsohn, Minoru Yamasaki, Philip Johnson, Paul Friedberg, Nolan Bass, and Tehodore J. Wofford.
