Sight Height 19.5 in., Width 19.5 in. Framed Height 22 in., Width 22 in. Signed, dated lower right. This abstract and colorful dimensional collage in maroons, pinks and purples is representative of Sandy Schultzs organic abstractions, a theme that he visited in his sculptural works as well as his 2-d creations. Having earned a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis and MFA From University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in 1960 he joined up with artist William Severson to found the sculpture studio known as Scopia. The artists created works that can been seen here in St. Louis as well as around the globe.
