6 in. length, 2 in. width, 1.5 in. height. Naturalistic patinated cast metal alligator, non magnetic, with open jaws, ridged scaly back and a long upturned tail, standing on four splayed legs, finished in a dark russet brown patina. Unmarked, traditionally thought to have been cast in Japan after the war. Patina wear and small spots of pale residue to the flanks and jaw, consistent with age. No breaks or repairs observed.
