Deep cabinet charger with a broad bleu celeste rim decorated with gilt rocaille scrolls, acanthus and floral sprays, centered by a finely hand painted roundel of two classical maidens in flowing robes fleeing through a wooded glade as a winged Cupid with quiver gives chase, his bow cast on the grass. Underside with blue interlaced L mark in the Sevres manner with painter marks, fitted with a wire plate hanger. Extensive wear and losses to the gilding, most noticeable on the right side of the rim, crazing to the blue glaze on the underside of the rim, scattered surface specks and light grime to the foot. Painted center is in good condition.
