Artist Judith Rifka is a multi-faceted artist who works in a variety of media from video and book arts to painting and printmaking. Rifka studied art at Hunter College, the New York Studio School and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and her first solo show was held in Chicago in 1974. Her work was included in the Whitney Biennial twice, in 1975 and 1983. More than 50 solo exhibitions of her work have been presented in the U.S., Germany, and France. Her vibrant and colorful work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York Public Library, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Staatliche Museum, Berlin, among others.
