Hieght 36.75 in, width 20 in, depth 10 in. Joseph Emmanuel Descomps (1872-1948), was a well known French sculptor and jeweler.He received his early training at Falguiegraveres under H. Hiolin, an engraver and metal designer. In 1883, he became a member of the French Society of Artists, and by 1898, he had risen to prominence as an artist. French Art Deco bronze figure of a Dancer, by Joseph Emmanuel Descomps Cormier in a standing pose, with arms outstretched holding a drapery, signed J.E. Descomps on base, with stepped base and black marble plinth. Two different patina, a green patina on the drapery part and the rest is a brown patina.
