Height 6.5 in, Width 7 in., Depth 3.5 in. The Italian poet Dante Alighieris (1265-1321) idealized character of Beatrice, a key figure in Divine Comedy and La Vita Nuova, embodied the concepts of divine love, salvation, and grace and was often a favorite theme of and inspiration to English artists of the pre-Raphaelite era (mid-1800s).
