Height .5 in., Width 8 in. square. Weight 1 lb. 14.9 oz. Both Stamped Mintons on underside. English firm Mintons China Works is also referred to as Mintons, and both names are used when referring to pieces made by the company. These highly collected tiles feature decorative botanical patterns of nasturtium in red and yellow and were typically used on friezes or decorative wall borders. While famous designers worked with Minton, many patters were created by in-house artists whose names were not formally recorded with specific pattern numbers, such as these two tiles.
