After experiencing religious and artistic persecution, he left Russia in 1978 and became a U.S. citizen in 1985. He currently lives and works in California. His works are included in collections around the world, including Hermitage Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, Yad Vashem Museum, the British Museum and the Swedish Royal Medallic Collection. He has created works for the US Mint, Singapore Mint, American Numismatic Association, Leningrad Mint, and The White House. This original artwork in cast paper celebrates the 50th anniversary of the March of Dimes and features images of four putti as well as a portrait reminiscent of the U.S. Mercury Dime.
