This colorful serigraph in reds, purples, gold, and greens by Adrian Wong Shue features a female and male figure in an embrace with the female figure holding a bouquet of red roses in one hand and a singular rose in the uplifted open palm of her other hand. The two figures, albeit embracing, turn their gazes away from one another to the outside of the picture plane. The artists early career was based in Jamaica and in 1980, he moved to Los Angeles, California and established the studio from which he worked for the remainder of his career. It was there that he earned his BFA from Antioch University in 1987. Solo exhibitions of his works have been presented in the U.S., France, Jamaica, South Korea, and Germany.
